Tamarind (Imli)

Tamarind (imli) is a sour tree. It fruit, flower, seeds, leafs, root, juice and tegument they all are very useful as a medicines. It is called in Arabian is Tamar Hindi, Persian is Jazmahindi, Sanskrit is Chakrika, Bengali is Satto Aamro. Gujrati is Aambli, English is Tamarind. It is a sour fruit, which is use in different cuisines in the whole World. Tamarind tree is very high, greater and twiggy. It is mostly extant in Pakistan and Hindustan. Tamarind tree is also call as indigenous tree. We can also use Tamarind in different spices, juices and pickle. There are two types of Tamarind, Red Tamarind and White Tamarind. Imli Pakistan aur Hindustan mien paida hone wali un nabatat mien se hai jin ko phal, phool, beej aur chaal kisi na kisi tarah bataur dawa istemal hote hain. Mukhtalif zabano mien is ke mukhtalif naam hain, is ko Arabian mien Tamarhindi, Persian mien jazmahindi. Tamar Hindi ke bohat barhe barhe oonche aur ghane darakht Pakistan aur Hindustan mien jangalon aur dehaat ke nazdeek dekhe jate hain. Punjab mien is ka darakht bohat kam paya jata hai. Is ki phalliyan 3 inch se 6 inch tak lambi ungli ke barabar moti aur kataar ki manind tirchi hoti hain, in ko katare ke naam se bhi yaad karte hain. Kachi phalli ka rang hara hota hai. Is ke oper ka chilka naram hota hai. Naram aur tursh hone ki wajah se aksar log phalli ko bama chilka kha lete hain. Kachi phalli nihayat tursh hoti hai. December se February tak phalliyan pakti hain, is ki phalliyan pak jane ke bad oper ka chilka mote kaghaz ki tarah bhore rang ka sakht aur khushk ho jata hai. Chilke ko utarne se andar surkhi maiyl bhore rang ki tursh o sheren nihayat khush zaiqa gooda nikalta hai. Yeh gooda medicines aur aam khane ke kaam aata hai. Phalliyon ke andar nihayat sakht beej hote hain.

Types of Tamarind

1. Red Tamrind.

2. White Tamarind.

Red tamarind ko gooda bilkul surkh rang ka hota hai, is ke beej bhi chote hote hain. Laal imli ka darakht bhi bohat kam dekhne mien aata hai, lekin hind gujrat mien bakasrat hote hain. White imli har jagah mil jati hai, is ke goodey ka rang surkhi maiyl khaki hota hai. In mien surkh imli umdah samjhi jati hai.

Maqam e Paidaish : Imli ka asal maskan Misar aur Hindustan hai, jazaiyr gharab ul hind mien bhi bakasrat paai jati hai aur jazaiyr gharab ul hind se he Europe jati hai. Is ke barey mien yeh khayal bhi kiya jata hai ke is darakht ki hawa muzir e sehat hai, bemariyan paida karti hai, is ke darakht ke niche bohat arsey tak kaprha parha rehne se gal jata hai. Barsaat mien is ke saya mien rehna bohat muzir hai.

Muzarrat o Islaah : Is ka bakasrat istemal awaaz ko band kar deta hai, khansi paida karta hai aur nazle ko tehreek deta hai, is ki islaah unaab o banafsha waghera se ki jati hai.

Khawas o Fawaid : Dil aur maide ko quwwat deti hai. Matli ko zaiyl karti hai. Tabiyat ko naram karti hai. Safraa ko aur jale hue ikhlaat ko daston ki raah nikalti hai. Mulaiym julab hai. Matlane, safraqi qey, haiza safrawi, piyas, tap diq, bechaini aur ghashi ko door karti hai. Josh khoon ko nafey hai. Khafqan garam ko mitata hai. Hawa e wabai ki samait door karti hai. Imli ko pani mien bohat ziyada malna nahi chahiye, kyun ke ziyada malne se sudda aur qey, matli aur tabiyat ko nafrat paida hoti hai, bal ke aab zalal len, agar garmi ho to is ke peene se jati rehti hai. Agar qey ki kasrat se maida dheela ho jae to is ko quwwat deti hai, bhook barhati hai.

Murakkabat : 3 tola sarhe 5 masha imli ko 14 tola sawa 2 masha pani mila kar 1 tola 2 masha sugar mila kar peene se tar o khushk kharish ko bohat nafaa hota hai.

Is ke phool paka kar khane se balgham dafa hota hai, bhook paida hoti hai, magar safra barhta hai. Paki hui imli balgham aur dabao ko door karti hai. Aankhon ki swelling ke liye imli ke pholon ki plates bandhne se aankhon ki soojan utar jati hai.

Sharbat e Imli : Aab tamarhindi aadh sair, arq e gulab aik pao, sandal safaid 5 tola, sugar white aadha kilo le len. White sandal ko imli aur arq e gulab mien aik raat bhigo kar rakhen. Subha josh de kar saaf karen aur sugar white milaqwam kar ke sharbat tayyar kar len. 2 tola se 4 tola arq gao zaban 10 tola aur pani hasb e zarorat mila kar istemal karen. Matli aur qey ko rokta hai. Safra ki hiddat ko torhta hai, tabiyat ko naram karta hai. Piyas bujhata hai aur maida, dil ko taqat dene mien nihayat mufeed aur mujarrib hai.
