Chukandar (beetroot) Bharat, Pakistan, Shumali Africa aur Europe mein kasrat se sabzi ke tor par kasht kiya jata hai. Agarcha is ki jangli qism bhi hai magar is ko khurak aur ilaj donon ke leye bekar samjha jata hai. Chukandar (beetroot) ka taluq palak ke sag ke khandan se hai. Albata is ka khurak mein pasandiah hissa jar (root) hai. Jis mein ghizai anasir jama ho kar shaljam ki si shakal ban jati hai. Aam tor par Chukandar (beetroot) ka rang andar se bhora aur qarmizi hota hai.

Is ki aik safeed qism bhi hoti hai. Chukandar (beetroot) ki pholi hoi jar (root) aur patte (leaves) khurak mein istemal hote hain. Ese ubal kar khate hain. Gosht ke sath salan ke tor par istemal karte hain. Is ka achar dalte hain. Europe mein is se khand (sugar) bhi banai jati hai.

Chukandar (beetroot) agarcha thandak rakhta hai magar esi ke jism ko nagawara nahi guzarti. Is ki siyah qism qabiz hai. Chukandar (beetroot) kat kar sar par malne se girte baal ruk jate hian. Egzima aur pati mein mufeed hai. Ese paka kar pani mein ghot kar lagane se sar ki junein mar jati hain. Agar bafa (dandruff) mujod ho to is pani mein thora sa shehad mila kar lagana mufeed hai. Chukandar (beetroot) khane se jigar ka faal behtar hota hai aur tili ki sozish kam ho jati hai, kamzori dor ho jati hai aur jald hazam ho jane ki salahiyat paida ho jati hai. Is ke pani ko shehad ke sath piya jaye to jigar ke faal mein paida hone wali rukawaton ko dor karta hai. Yarqan (jaundice) mein mufeed hai balke safra ki naliyon mein pthri ya dosre asbab se paida hone wali rukayaton ka ilaj bhi hai.

Chukandar (beetroot) ki jaron ka juice nikal kar is ko nak mein tapkaya jaye to sar dard aur dant ke dard mein faidah mand hai. Agar ese sar ke eteraf mein lagaya jaye to aankhon ki sozish aur jalan mein mufeed hai. Chukandar (beetroot) ke pani ko rogan e zetoon mein mila kar jale howae muqam par lagana mufeed hai. Jild ke zakhmon, bafa (dandruff) (dandruff) aur khushk kharish mein Chukandar (beetroot) ke qatlon ko pani aur sirke mein ubal kar lagana mufeed hai. Kharish ki mutadid qismon ke leye muqami istemal ki qabil e etemad aur behtareen dawa hai.
